Full Commercial Operations Commence Today!

The day has finally arrived! The highly anticipated launch of the California Mobility Center (CMC) was made official as it formally shifts from its pre-launch phase to full commercial operations in support of its mission to accelerate the pace of future mobility commercialization in California and the world, announced the CMC’s Chair of the Board, Arlen Orchard.

The CMC is a non-profit, public-private entity being led by global thought leaders in clean technology innovation including EnerTech Capital, a venture capital firm with a focus on electrification, autonomy, smart mobility, and connectivity, PEM Motion, a consulting and engineering company that originated from Germany with a focus on sustainable technology, and Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) a founding partner and funder that has led the way in electric vehicle (EV) testing, development and deployment of EVs in the Sacramento Region.

Prior to today’s launch, the CMC had already signed early agreements with its first commercial clients in late 2020. Zeus Electric Chassis, AMPLY Power and DANNAR are three leading clean mobility equipment and services providers that will be among the CMC’s extensive ecosystem of industry leaders and support resources.

The entire CMC team has been working non-stop to make this happen, and we couldn’t be happier or prouder of all of our hard work coming to fruition with the official commercial launch happening today! We’re sad that we can’t host an in-person ribbon cutting event where we all come together and celebrate our doors opening due to COVID-19, but we are so excited to be able to officially share everything we’ve been working on with the world.
